About The Band

Chowder Monkey was formed in March 2003 by Ron ‘R2′ Mattingly & Allen ‘Big Al’ Tate. We are a band who plays because we enjoy music and having a good time. We like playing the bar scene but are always open to a party and love to get the crowd involved with the music. If that’s what you’re looking for, then we’re your band.

We cover several eras of music but mainly jam with rock and classic rock and are always adding new tunes to our set list. Your suggestions are welcome. Thanks for checking us out and hope to see you at our next show.
